त्रिंश्अल्लवांशान् त्वथ रूपभेदान् विकल्पयित्वाल्पबलप्रतापान् ।
य एव रूपस्थितिसत्त्वचेष्ट्आगुण्आधिकाराः पट्हिता ग्रहस्य (…) ॥१॥

triṃśallavāṃśān tvatha rūpabhedān vikalpayitvālpabalapratāpān |
ya eva rūpasthitisattvaceṣṭāguṇādhikārāḥ paṭhitā grahasya (…) ||1||

Si consideri che i termini (trimsallavamsas) abbiano diversità di forma, poca forza e brillantezza, rispetto a qualunque cosa detta a riguardo dell’autorità di un pianeta, rispetto alle forme, alle posizioni, ai punti di forza, alle azioni e alle qualità, (…)

(…) त एव तद्भावसमुद्भवाश्च वाच्याः स्वभागेश्वरसंस्थितेषु ।
सन्ध्य्आदयो’ब्दा भवनक्रमेण मासाश्च तद्भागपरिक्रमेण ॥२॥

(…) ta eva tadbhāvasamudbhavāśca vācyāḥ svabhāgeśvarasaṃsthiteṣu |
sandhyādayo’bdā bhavanakrameṇa māsāśca tadbhāgaparikrameṇa ||2||

(…) si dice che questi diano origine alla natura (nel nativo), in quanto (l’annunciatore) è in connessione con il signore del suo mandato. (I segni) contati dalle loro linee di divisione (0º) sono anni; le loro dvadasamsas (bhaga) sono mesi.

दिनानि पाके ग्रहभागवत् स्यात्तत्स्थैर्ग्रहैः प्रोक्तफलैः क्रमेण ।
सूर्यादिसम्प्रेक्ष्इतराशिभागैः समानि पाकानि फलानि पाके ॥३॥

dināni pāke grahabhāgavat syāttatsthairgrahaiḥ proktaphalaiḥ krameṇa |
sūryādisamprekṣitarāśibhāgaiḥ samāni pākāni phalāni pāke ||3||

I giorni sono in accordo ai gradi del pianeta annunciante durante il periodo di fruizione (paka). A causa dei pianeti che cadono in quel luogo e che hanno influenza nell’ordine descritto, poiché la discesa è in aspetto dal Sole e così via, le influenze (portano) l’esito durante il periodo di fruizione.

त्रिंश्अल्लवादर्कगतात् प्रवृत्तिराचारगस्तत्फलदो हितानाम् ।
चन्द्रार्कसौम्योशनसावनेयजीवार्कजानां क्रमशो गुणः स्यात् ॥४॥

triṃśallavādarkagatāt pravṛttirācāragastatphalado hitānām |
candrārkasaumyośanasāvaneyajīvārkajānāṃ kramaśo guṇaḥ syāt ||4||

Dai trenta lavas (gradi) della posizione del Sole c’è il destino legato alla condotta che porta i risultati legati: 1 alla Luna, 2 al Sole, 3 a Mercurio, 4 a Venere, 5 a Marte, 6 a Giove e 7 a Saturno. Le qualità si sviluppano secondo quest’ordine (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7).

विपाककालो विधिपूर्वलब्धएकादिसप्तान्तपरिक्रमेण ।
राश्यादिलिङ्गैर्बहुधा प्रभिन्नैः परम्परस्थानगुणैः क्षण्आद्यैः ॥५॥

vipākakālo vidhipūrvalabdhaekādisaptāntaparikrameṇa |
rāśyādiliṅgairbahudhā prabhinnaiḥ paramparasthānaguṇaiḥ kṣaṇādyaiḥ ||5||

Il sottoperiodo di fruizione (vipaka), che è stato precedentemente determinato utilizzando la regola, (è diviso in parti) che iniziano con uno e finiscono con sette, (queste sono) frazioni e altre unità di tempo che possiedono le caratteristiche dei segni e altre divisioni dello zodiaco, le cui posizioni e qualità sono in una sequenza fissa.
